Community Booth

As part of Montavilla Farmers Market's (MFM) mission to inspire and nurture a healthy community, we are happy to offer non-profit organizations space to share information regarding community related services and activities that are in alignment with the mission and guiding principles of MFM. We give priority to Montavilla based neighborhood organizations. Participants are encouraged to create engaging tables that enhance the market experience for shoppers. For example, a garden education organization could host a seed-planting activity.

Any business or organization that doesn't fall into the non-profit category can table at our market through our sponsorship program. Find more information here.

RULES OF THE DAY:

-- You may not sell any products or conduct any fundraising, including donation jars.

-- Please allow market-goers to come to you, rather than walking through the market soliciting. Having a dynamic and engaging display and/or activity is a great strategy to draw visits and meet more people!

-- Give-aways or handouts are permitted, but must be approved by the Market Manager. Products handed out can't compete with the products available for sale at the market by vendors.

WHERE TO BE AND WHEN:

-- The market begins at 10:00 am and ends at 2:00 pm. MFM operates rain or shine and requires that your booth be staffed for the entirety of the market.

-- Arrival and set-up will be available promptly at 9:30 am. When you arrive, please check in at the info tent. A MFM volunteer or staff will greet you and orient you to your exact location assigned by the Market Manager.

SUPPLIES TO BRING:

-- Tables, chairs, umbrellas or tents, table cloth, and displays. (MFM may be able to lend a tent, table, and chairs on specific days depending on market activities)

-- All tents need to be weighed down on each leg with weights that are at least 20 lbs each. MFM has weights available for you to borrow if you don't have your own.

-- Thank you for keeping your booth attractive during market hours and for breaking down your space after the market closes (2pm), including removal of garbage and sweeping up any debris.

MARKET CULTURE:

-- The market respects all aspects of people including their ethnicity, sex, gender expression, sexual-orientation, socio-economic background, religion, political affiliation, nationality, size, age, and ability. Physical or verbal abuse, sexual or any other forms of harassment, theft or damage of property, is simply not tolerated. The market retains the right to regulate the time, place, and manner of activities relating to displays, signs, posters, placards and other expressions of the interests represented. If any persons or groups tabling are found to violate market policy, disciplinary action will follow, including the potential for the offending person or group to be barred from tabling at the market.

-- The MFM Board of Directors has authorized market staff to enforce the above rules. MFM cannot endorse the opinions or positions of any group or individual.
