Tabling Team

Represent the market at events such as Montavilla First Friday and the Jade Market. Team Members will staff the tables at these special events, invite residents to shop at MFM, pass out food samples from vendors (Yum!), and collect names for the market’s enews. Each event serves as a fun time to connect with community members and represent MFM.

Taste of the Market

Sundays at Market – 10 am – 12pm; 12 – 2pm
Promote vendors and products available at the market by offering samples of produce from vendors for market customers to taste. Engage with customers about produce varieties, characteristics, cooking methods, seasonality, and encourage them taste and vote for their favorite variety. Shifts are 2 hours, Sundays at market, one time per month.

POP Club

Sundays at Market – 10 am – 12pm; 12 – 2pm
The Power of Produce (POP) Club seeks to teach children about fruits and vegetables, local food systems and healthy food preparation through fun activities. Kids engage in the full farmers market experience, trying new foods, having conversations with farmers, and buying local produce. Through the Two Bite Challenge, POP participants are rewarded for taking two bites of the featured fruit or vegetable, and receive $5 coupons to spend on fruits and vegetables of their choice at the market. POP Club Team members engage with children and their adults about produce varieties, characteristics, cooking methods, seasonality, and encourage them taste two bites of the featured food. Shifts are 2 hours, Sundays at market in July.
