The mission of the Montavilla Farmers Market is to provide a vibrant marketplace where our diverse community has access to high quality, local, healthy food. We create opportunities for our vendors and customers to support and learn from each other, which strengthens our local economy.
We’re thrilled to partner with non-profit organizations and community groups who want to talk with market shoppers about their efforts in Montavilla and Portland.
There is no cost for tabling at any market day. However, because we view our relationship with visiting community groups as a partnership, we expect each group to promote the market within their own communities and social networks. Highlighting Montavilla Farmers Market on your website, newsletters, or social media sites, and inviting your supporters to visit the market contributes to everyone’s success.
Participants are encouraged to create engaging tables that enhance the market experience for shoppers. A group that educates the public about gardening could also host a seed-planting activity for kids at their table, for example.
