Artisans

The 2010 Montavilla Farmers Market again has an Artisans Booth featuring select handmade goods. Realizing that our neighborhood is home to many fine artisans, we are delighted to showcase them.

How It Works

Each market day two artists will share one 10 x 10-foot booth. Our goal is to feature different artists each week and to carefully select the pairs for synergy and artistic balance.

The booth fee for each artist each week is $25; this price includes a canopy, but the artists are responsible for their own table, chair, display stand, and anything else you need. (Note: There is no electricity on the market site.)

We will evaluate all applications, and select the participating artists, according to these criteria:

  1. All items must be handmade and must be sold by the maker.
  2. Preference will be given to artists who live or work in the Montavilla and Mt. Tabor neighborhoods.
  3. No home-party products are allowed.
  4. The final selection process aims for a diversity of art media (ceramics, pottery, glass, paintings, photography, fabric art, etc.), with quality being the paramount goal. In this highly subjective process, the jury selection will be final.

Click Here to get the application! (MS Word) or here (PDF) . The application must be received by May 1, 2010. If selected, fees must be received by June 1, 2010 in order to reserve your time slot(s). See the application for complete instructions.

If you have questions, please email artisans@montavillamarket.org.
Please check the 2009 events calendar , 2008 events calendar and 2007 events calendar for examples artists that were a part of the market.
